From full throttle to full relaxation
Rapid deceleration in the hotel in Carinthia with sauna
In everyday life, everything moves at top speed. You are a miracle working multi-tasker and at times take on too much. A sauna session at the Eschenhof is the best recipe for putting on the brakes. At our hotel in Bad Kleinkirchheim with sauna, a few seconds are enough to bring you back to the here and now.
For relaxation that's good for everyone
Our rules for warmth, peace & good company
Hygiene & Preparation:
- Shower before entering the sauna
A thorough shower before your sauna visit is essential. It removes sweat, creams, and impurities – ensuring hygiene and a more pleasant experience for everyone. - Dry off well
Dry skin sweats more efficiently. After your shower, please dry yourself off completely before entering the sauna. - Use a sauna towel
For hygiene reasons, a large sauna towel is required. Please place it fully under your body – including your feet – to protect the wooden benches from sweat. - No jewellery in the sauna
Jewellery can heat up and cause burns. Please remove rings, necklaces, and other metal accessories before entering the sauna. - No swimwear
Our saunas are textile-free. Synthetic swimwear prevents the skin from breathing properly, traps moisture, and can cause unpleasant odours. A sauna towel is all you need.
Behaviour in the sauna.
- A quiet zone stays quiet
Please speak softly – or not at all. Many guests come here to enjoy the peaceful silence. - Keep your distance
A little space between you and other guests is a matter of respect and courtesy. - No entering or leaving during infusions
Please don’t enter or exit the sauna during an infusion (aufguss) – it disturbs others and interrupts the flow of the session. No phones in the sauna area
The sauna area is a phone-free zone – for peace, privacy, and complete relaxation.
Cooling down & relaxing:
- Cool down properly:
After your sauna session, start with a warm shower followed by a cold one – or take a dip in the cold plunge pool. This boosts circulation and supports the immune system. - Rest and recover:
Give yourself a conscious break after the sauna – to reflect, relax, and let the warmth take effect. - Stay hydrated:
After sweating, your body needs fluids – ideally water or an isotonic drink.
Good to know:
- If you have health issues:
Anyone with cardiovascular conditions or other medical concerns should consult their doctor before using the sauna.
