Down-to-earth and healthy: Natural cuisine at the Eco-hotel in Carinthia
Take TIME to eat. That is an ancient piece of wisdom for a long life. "Alpine Slowness" is therefore also lived out in the kitchen of our gourmet hotel in Carinthia. The greatest possible time freedom regarding mealtimes enables a feeling of timelessness throughout the holiday day. We only use ingredients that come from the many organic farms in the area by the shortest route.
Food intolerances are no problem for our kitchen artists who take this into account during preparation or when conjuring up special dishes for a small extra charge.

At the Eschenhof, you don't need an alarm clock to get to breakfast on time. A buffet with a large selection of organic and regional products awaits you from 7.30 am to 10 am. The owner also comes up with different breakfast specials every day. Sometime he mixes healthy smoothies, or even prepares fresh waffles.
Refreshments are on hand for after the mountain adventures or between two sauna sessions in the afternoon. From 1 pm to 4 pm, two different soups, a selection of salads, regional bread and farmer's butter, cakes and our teas from the house garden are available. In winter you can also use your Eschenhof soup voucher in our Maibrunnhütte in the ski area.
If you are planning a hiking day, our kitchen team will be happy to put together a hiking snack or packed lunch. The Eschenhof slowness picnic basket is available on request (for a fee). Our drinks dispenser with fresh Grander water (limited in time) and fresh fruit are also available for free use.
We serve you the evening Slow Food menu with the best Carinthian specialities between 6 pm and 8 pm. Five courses mean more than just food, but also time for yourself, your partner and your family. A special children's menu puts a smile on their faces, who then skip off to childcare while you enjoy your meal in peace and quiet.
The natural cuisine of our organic hotel in Carinthia has been awarded the "Grüne Haube" seal of quality. This sign guarantees that regional products of the best organic quality are prepared freshly, gently and in their natural state with a view to wholesomeness. Only three other establishments in the whole of Carinthia have also received the award.
- Organic dairy products from Kaslabn, Mallhof and Peppi Lieftenegger from Bad Kleinkirchheim, as well as Kärntner Milch
- Organic meat products and organic sausages from Nockfleisch, Karnerta and local farmers
- Breakfast eggs from free-range chickens from the farmer Obereder in Gnesau
- Organic breads from neighbouring farmers: Schruner family in Ebene Reichenau and Kaslabn Radenthein
