Osteopathy

Osteopathy focuses on four basic principles:

  • The body is a whole: Osteopaths look at the human being as a whole and focus on the interactions between body, mind and soul.
  • Structure and function are mutually dependent: Any change in structure affects function and vice versa.
  • The body has self-healing powers: Osteopathy promotes the body’s own abilities for self-regulation and healing.
  • The treatment is based on scientific knowledge: Osteopaths use their knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics to develop targeted therapeutic approaches.

AREAS OF APPLICATION:

Areas of application for osteopathy are diverse and range from back and joint pain to digestive problems, headaches and tinnitus. Therapy is divided into three main disciplines:

  • Parietal osteopathy: This discipline deals with the musculoskeletal system, i.e. bones, joints, muscles and fascia.
  • Visceral osteopathy: Here the focus is on the internal organs, their attachments and the surrounding fascia.
  • Craniosacral osteopathy: This discipline is dedicated to the skull, the sacrum and the nervous system.

Osteopathy can also help reduce stress, prevent burnout and improve sleep quality. Targeted treatment and relaxation of the nervous system reduces stress and increases general well-being. At the same time, physical tension is released, which leads to better sleep quality and reduces the risk of burnout.
