Alpine Slowness Easter in the mountains

Numerous traditional events take place in Carinthia, especially at Easter.
On Palm Sunday, colorfully decorated "palm bushes" are carried by the children to the church to be consecrated.
On Holy Saturday the long Lent comes to an end and on this day filled Easter baskets with traditional Carinthian delicacies are consecrated at the so-called meat consecration in the church and then this Carinthian Easter snack is served. The traditional "Eierpecken" must not be missing.
On the night of Easter Sunday, the Easter bonfires are an unforgettable sight. The resurrection of Christ is celebrated with the Easter fire.

You can experience this traditional Easter with a colorful family Easter program in Ortners Eschenhof.
In addition to the traditional Easter dishes, such as Carinthian Reindling, stuffed butter, beef tongue, smoked sausages, horseradish and colored eggs, the Ortner family offers a large family program in the small, fine Eschenhof.
