Hiking and bathing in the Nockberge biosphere reserve

The hike leads up to Eisentalhöhe, where a stupendous panorama opens up in the early morning light.
On the way up, the biosphere park ranger presents interesting facts about the flora and fauna. The descent leads directly to Karlbad, the oldest farmers’ healing baths in Austria. The old Karlbad is one of the last of its kind. Here
you sit in a steaming wooden tub between ancient stone walls and feel deep relaxation from head to toe due to the spring water containing radon and many valuable minerals, heated with glowing stones. You can really switch off at
Karlbad and find inner peace. The bathing treatment at Karlbad helps to prevent gout and rheumatism. After that you can satisfy your hunger with a homemade plate of Carinthian dumplings at Karlbad.
